I did a Bad Thing Today.

I woke up this morning and wanted to Empty some Jet Cans that did not belong to me.

I Looked around my Hangar and spied an Old Bestower named "Phantom's Folly" I had in a dark corner.
It had a Salvager II and a Tractor Beam fit in her high slots and various shield tank stuff in her mids, 3 Warp Stabs and a Cargo Hold Expantion I in the lows, and 2 cargo optimization rigs and a low friction nozzle joint rig.

I climbed aboard and entered my pod via modified intenal Pod Gantry, and set out to find a macro suspect.

Into the Ice Belt in Brapellile.
a quick modification to my Overviw settings to filter results by Item type.

One Cargo container on scan.
It was labled "Confiscated Ice" and had a Rifter pilot "Cam Clarke" of "Suddenly Ninjas" orbiting it.

Bait Can.

I've Stolen successfully from bait cans before and Cam doesn't seem to have re-inforcements in local so I warp to the can, get close and Command my Ship Do Dock.

While Spooling up and Aligning to station I open the bait can, waiting for my warp drive to spool to 75%, I Liberate 4 pieces of Blue Ice and warp away almost instantly after.
15 minute agression counter starts.
Once Docked safely I decide to climb in my Cov Ops Ship "Silent Salvage" to cloak and watch the belt again from a safe distance.

Understanding the risk I'm taking as he may have followed me to station I unfit the expensive modules and undock.
He's right there, and begins to target me, I hit my shield rep and emergency damage control II and prepair to repel projectile ammo and aim my ship back towards the docking hangar.

"Docking Access Granted"

I decide to wait out the timer.

Talus Veran > nice try
Talus Veran > lol
Talus Veran > no point in waiting now Cam. Goin' for a Quafe.
Talus Veran > thanks for the ice though.
Cam Clarke > I didn't feel like playing station games anyway.

at this point I'm interested in his purpose for attempting to Grief.

Talus Veran > you hunting macros?
Cam Clarke > Just anything that'll jet.
Talus Veran > Nice
Talus Veran > My industrial's stabbed to the teeth
Cam Clarke > Probably a good idea.
Cam Clarke > Ah. Well, fly safe.
Talus Veran > u too.
Talus Veran > Happy hunting.

After that he leaves the system.

Once my timer runs out I head back to the ice belt to see who else is silly enough to jet can ice while there is talk of Ice Thievery in local.

Suddenly there are 4 Cargo containers in space almost entirely at once.
Warp Drive Acive
I arrive on top of the first can and Empty it. (only Mackinaws with no drones out close by)
Il Folle
Eloiny Cien
Subject River
Karajix

Afterburners and shield tank active I get to the 2nd and 3rd can. Hold Full I Jet some and Tractor my Can to the 4th can.

16 Units of Blue Ice (10 in my Hold and 6 in my Cannister.)
I head away from them and Warp to Station.
I swap out the salvager for a prototype cloaking device so I can watch them while cloaked.
Warp back to my Can And and Orca Arrives for their support. I empty my can and engage the cloak and watch.

Il Folle
Eloiny Cien
Subject River
Karajix
and now Tucker So in an Orca

All are in different corps now after having left the same corp at the beginning of July.
All left the same day.
it's a macro miner or a multi-boxer.
I decide to message them to find out.

Il Folle > "conversation request denied"
Tucker So > "conversation request denied"
Eloiny Cien > "conversation request denied"
Subject River > "conversation request denied"

Karajix has a CSPA licence fee for sendung mail, I accept, and then "conversation request denied"
then another can apears, I Uncloak and get to full speed. More cans appear
I get one before the orca gets it.

Geting bored of the waiting, I dock up amd count 24 Units of blue Ice and head a few jumps away to sell at the highest buy price.

Something new tomorrow

It's been a while

I've been Lazy.
I have been doing various Stuff since my last Post

Planetary Interaction Discovery was fun.
I'm Very Excited to see where this will link to Dust 514.
Some Friends of mine over at the Vard School of Cryo Cuisine, have been fueling their Station from Comodities built on Planets.

Ice Mining From while watching Holovids.

Then Gankageddon III started and I decided to get to some Missioning

and Salvaging those missions of course.

I got bored quickly of Doing whatever Agents were requesting of my talents, and turned to my Arbitrator "The Wedge". I fit her for Exploration and took off to Explore.
Destroying a few local Serpentis hidden Drug Plants and Listening Posts I ventured forth into some Wormholes.
The First Wormhole I entered, I found my first Gas Cloud. (No Pictures, I was so Excited I forgot to take them)
The next Worhole held Wonderous amounts Of Rare Asteroids, which I had A Corpmate Join in on Harvesting

Well, that's about the extent of my travels Since May. I hope to continue a much more frequent update on this log going forward.

Jita-stic

Well... I was in Jita for about 3 days before I started going "Hub Crazy."

I don't see what the excitement is all about in Jita.

Trading on the market has not moved fast enough, and with the volume of people trading here frequently over or under bid your order.

The Spam in Local is incessant. Seems like 70% of the contracts linked there are scams.

None of the shops offer anything unique. (Except for the Anti-Gallente merchandise, in which I have no interest.)

So. I left my orders on the market, walked straight down to the nearest Medical Bay and registered for Jump Clone Storage.

If I'm gonna be cooped up in an office working over spreadsheets, I'd rather be spending it doing some Research with my source at an un-named Amarrian Research Corporation.
The added benefit in the system with my research agent is that there is a simple Blood Raider Complex I can fly through with ease and cull off new Blood Raider recruits, often earning often some low grade faction modules.

More to come soon,

Wretched Hive of Scum and Villany

Arriving at the Perimiter Stargate to Jita, at 03:00
.2 ships on scan, None Hostile.
.Requesting Warp permission, warp gate activates.

Upon Jumping into Jita, sensor data floods in.

.675 people in Local Channel
.22 Pod Piloted ships surrounding the Warp Gate.
.5 Pilots are flagged as a potential security risk, having negative security status' assigned by Concord.

Local Channel Floods in with Chatter about Contracts on the market. half of which seem to be scams of one kind or another.

To all those new to trade hubs, If it's being advertised in local, it's either not the best deal or an outright Scam

Opening my AURA link to the local station markets to quickly ascertain which the Station processes the most sales traffic. I command my little Ibis to enter warp and request docking clearance immediately upon exiting the warp tunnel.

The station appears quickly in view and slows. Sensors picking up dozens of pod pilots amassed around the docking bay, again flagging a dozen security risks.

.Docking permission granted by Docking Manager Scotty.

First thing out of the pod is a Shower, it's good to get the pod goo off your skin.
Once clean, I Head to the temporary office provided by the station. A few hours going over market logs to select some choice investments for quick re-sale.

Orders Placed I head out to see what there is to see in the trade hub of Jita System.

The Shops and Attractions lining the station concourse levels are a wonder to behold, but nothing new or exciting that I have not seen in various Gallente stations. I must say I do like the blue lighting and minimalist color schemes of Caldari stations.

Being Gallente in wartime in Caldari High Security space is dangerous, however my Title as CEO of a Capsuler Corporation does earn diplomatic respect, but I can feel the distrust all around me.

My Comm link Notifies me an order for 3 Sigil's has been fulfilled, I decide to head back to my Hangar to Put them up for sale, and Turn in.

Restless Activities

The last few months I have been Ice Mining heavily.

Blue Ice in Sinq Laison was up to 150k isk/unit from about 90k isk/unit.
But Macros have moved back in and the Price has Dropped again.

I had a Corp mate Bring out her Orca for me to Strip mine a belt in High Sec.

But that hasn't held my Interest at this time.

Yrielle Vandis was mentioning that he has successfully doubled his money on market trading within 2 weeks.

I've never been to Jita.
So I'm off to Jita to try my hand at making some money on the markets there.
Taking a throw away Ibis, a fresh jump clone and a case of Quafe Ultra, and my wallet.

Fly Safe

Licence Renewed

Well, I Braved the Lines to get my Licence renewed. Dealing with People in the Flesh sometimes irritates me, but without doing it, I wouldn't be able to get in my pod again.

That finished with I Headed out to Scan Down something to keep those skills active.
Discovered 2 hidden Asteroid Belts.
The First one was identified by my Core Scanner Probes as a small Kernite & Omber deposit. I warpped over to it, but it was stripped out completely.
So I headed over to the 2nd one.
A Large Omber Deposit in a Twisted Rock Formation.

This is one of the Greatest Thrills I have with Scanning, is the Wonderous Vistas!

Only had time to mine & haul one of the two asteroids there before having to dock up for a prior engagement planet side.

Till Next time.
Fly Safe All!

Grounded

We pod pilots feel immortal out there in the void of New Eden. But we are still at the Mercy of Concord's Pilot License Renewals.
I have been so busy with my Corporation Paperwork that I missed my License Renewal Date.
Now unable to log in to my Pod Interface I am Left to Create this Log of my Thoughts.

Roc Wieler encouraged me to join the community a few months ago so I decided finally to jump in.

More musings to follow,
Talus Veran.
